We enjoyed a performance to a packed house! Can’t wait to share the video with you. This was an amazing octet. Several students were also asked to join the Lift Every Voice Choir. Dr. Scott enjoyed running the ITF Composers Workshop again.

Kahlil Wyatt recently won an audition for a position and scholarship to perform in the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in Tennessee!
The SFA Wind Ensemble Trombones returned late Tuesday evening, Feb. 5 from playing six concerts in two days. They sounded fabulous and had a great time! The Faculty Brass Quintet from SFA was able to perform a few pieces as well.
Proud of these students who performed as part of the “best brass section SFA has ever taken to TMEA”. The concert was truly phenomenal, so much so, that one of the players fainted onto the floor and couldn’t get up.
Daniel Ramos of Fort Worth, Megan Massarello of Cypress (Houston), Jordynn Conner of Brownsboro and Samantha Williams of Mesquite (Dallas) finished their outstanding senior recitals and will be student teaching this spring! This was an extremely talented bunch of seniors, and they will be greatly missed.
Congratulations to drum major trombonist, Dwight Watson and the other SFA trombonists who traveled to London with the SFA marching band to be a part of the big parade!
